Summary
The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reporting. The role involves managing a team of project control professionals and collaborating with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to ensure project success.
Job Functions
- Develop and maintain the project controls plan and associated procedures
- Implement and maintain the project schedule, including resource loading, critical path analysis, and progress monitoring
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare financial forecasts
- Monitor and manage project risks, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and opportunities
- Ensure accurate and timely project reporting to stakeholders, including progress updates, cost reports, and risk registers
- Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget constraints
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, procedures, and security requirements
Skills, Experience, Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or a related field7+ years of experience in project controls in heavy civil and marine construction industryStrong understanding of project management principles, practices, and tools, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and reportingExcellent communication and interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in project management software and tools, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and ExcelTech savvy with PC SystemsDynamic team playerJ-18808-Ljbffr
