Warehouse Operational Excellence Manager
Key responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of the warehouse operational excellence strategy across all warehouse and distribution centers. Ensure consistent deployment and adoption of standardized practices, tools, and metrics at each site. Partner with site leaders to localize and embed strategy into daily operations while maintaining alignment with global standards.
Conduct end-to-end process mapping of warehouse operations including inbound, storage, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping. Identify inefficiencies and areas for harmonization across sites. Define and document optimized processes, ensuring clarity, compliance, and consistency across the network.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive operational excellence playbook covering SOPs, KPIs, audit tools, and continuous improvement frameworks. Lead the rollout and training of the playbook across all sites to ensure full understanding and implementation. Monitor playbook adoption and refine based on feedback and evolving business needs.
Lead and coach site teams in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to foster a continuous improvement mindset. Drive cross-functional improvement projects aimed at improving efficiency, quality, safety, and cost. Use data-driven approaches to prioritize and measure improvement initiatives.
Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for site leaders and warehouse staff. Coach teams through change management processes to ensure sustainability of improvements. Act as a change champion to reinforce an operational excellence culture.
Act as the operational excellence liaison across sites, sharing insights, tracking progress, and coordinating initiatives. Conduct regular site visits to audit implementation, identify gaps, and share best practices. Establish a feedback loop across facilities to continually evolve and enhance the operational excellence framework.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field. Five or more years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or supply chain operations, with at least two years in a continuous improvement or operational excellence role. Demonstrated experience in process mapping, playbook development, and multi-site strategy deployment. Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred). Strong data analysis and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred experience includes experience in a multi-site warehouse or distribution environment. Familiarity with warehouse automation, WMS, and ERP systems. Experience implementing operational playbooks in a standardized yet flexible way across diverse operations.
Travel requirements : up to 20%.
