The Role :

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused professional to join our team as a New Business Development representative.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new client relationships that support long-term growth. Success in this position requires a proactive, goal-oriented mindset and the ability to consistently prospect new business opportunities while simultaneously advancing and closing active deals.

Because we operate in the construction industry, sales cycles are often long and complex, typically ranging from six months to two years. You must be comfortable working independently, without a script, and possess the confidence to handle objections and rejection with professionalism and persistence.

This is a hands-on role. There are no sales assistants, so you will be responsible for preparing client profile reports, entering and maintaining accurate CRM data, and tracking your own outreach and progress.

We are looking for someone who combines a hunter mentality with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and is committed to building lasting client relationships.   • Identify opportunities and manage pipeline
  • Prospect routinely through professional social media platforms and newsletters
  • Articulate maineline services and differentiate us from competition

  • Identify client needs and provide thoughtful options
  • Collaborate with others to get the right solution for each client
  • Focus on “starting with the end in mind,” break work down into process steps, plan, anticipate challenges and identify solutions
  • Support and contribute to maineline’s client centric culture
  • Take responsibility for client satisfaction and retention
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with proficiency
  • Take accountability for meeting sales objectives
  • High focus on setting project teams up for success

Job Requirements :

  • Ability to work in a collaborative / team environment
  • 8-10 years of experience in technical sales or business development role
  • Sales “Hunter” personality
  • CRM experience required
  • Prospecting experience
  • Pipeline accuracy management
  • Patience and tenacity are a must
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Residential sign system sales experience is preferred
  • Construction industry sales knowledge preferred (prequals, bids, etc).

    Salary ranges between $45,000 - $55,000 plus commission. This job's on target earnings should be around $100,000 throughout the first year.
