General Contracting Estimator

Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope and requirements. Analyze project documents, such as blueprints and specifications, to prepare accurate estimates. Identify and solicit bids from qualified subcontractors and suppliers. Evaluate bids to ensure alignment with project requirements and budgets. Prepare and present estimate reports to clients and stakeholders. Monitor and update estimates as project details evolve. Maintain accurate records of estimates and related documentation.

A successful General Contracting Estimator should have : a strong background in construction estimating, with a focus on general contracting projects, commercial experience required, municipal project is a plus. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, including blueprints and specifications. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with estimating software and tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teams and clients. An ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
