Responsibilities

Job Summary

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a Bench Hand / Polisher at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for the Benching / Polishing of Mold Cavities and Complex Hardened Steel Die Cavities for the Aerospace Industry.

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.

Job Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasonic machine and benching / polish stones to remove EDM recast from hardened contour surfaces
• Finishing of surfaces, including polishing of die details from rough benching through finish benching to meet customer surface finish requirements
• Visually verifies contours and smoothness
