Digital Designer- UX / UI — Onsite, 1 Icon, Foothill Ranch, CA 92610 — 6 Months contract (with possible extensions)
About the Role
We are seeking a UX Researcher to join the Oakley / Luxottica team on a temporary basis. This role focuses on designing products with the end-user in mind. You will work on uncovering insights about how customers use and experience products through research, testing, and collaboration. Your work will directly influence design, strategy, and innovation across our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Product Strategy, Engineering, Marketing) to plan and execute research initiatives.
- Define research goals, workstream plans, and timelines.
- Deploy appropriate research methods such as interviews, surveys, field tests, and usability studies.
- Collect and synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Develop user profiles, archetypes, and journey maps.
- Apply UX / UI principles and data visualization techniques to communicate findings.
- Present research outcomes through clear storytelling and influencing stakeholders with insights.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong background in user research, usability testing, and discovery research.Experience with user journey mapping, profiling / archetype generation, and human-centered design psychology.Knowledge of UX / UI principles and data-driven storytelling.Strong ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.A curious and analytical mindset with the ability to ask the right follow-up questions.Experience working with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in data visualization tools and presentation skills.Experience in design thinking and human factors.Ability to identify and implement new research methods or tools to increase team efficiency.Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple research streams.Product research experience is a strong plus.Top 3–5 Must-Have Skills
