As a Security Officer Unarmed Retail Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for visitors and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Monday 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Tuesday 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Friday 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Saturday 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sunday 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed in response to incidents.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and / or providing directions to visitors.
  • Support a welcoming environment by offering assistance and information to customers, tenants, and guests.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
