Brief Description

Compensation : $25+ tips

Location : San Francisco Design Center (SFDC)

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver warm, polished, and attentive service to every guest.
  • Share your knowledge of food, wine, and cocktails to guide guests through their experience.
  • Support and lead the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent service standards.
  • Act as a point of contact between servers, kitchen, and management to ensure seamless communication and execution.
  • Assist in training new front‑of‑house staff and reinforcing service standards.
  • Monitor dining areas to ensure a positive guest experience and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in pre‑shift meetings and communicate daily goals, specials, and service notes to the team.
  • Oversee table assignments, pacing, and timing to optimize flow of service.
  • Support the team by running food, resetting tables, and assisting as needed during peak periods.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a lead server or supervisory role in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent knowledge of food, beverages, and service standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively to staff, peers, supervisors, guests, and clients.
  • Able to read and write to facilitate effective communication.
  • Ability to present information clearly in one‑on‑one, small group, and large group settings.
  • Ability to lead meetings and trainings covering basic health, safety, culinary, and service topics.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Comfortable working on feet for extended shifts and navigating a busy service environment.
