Position Overview The Bar & Restaurant Manager will oversee all aspects of daily operations, including service, bar program management, inventory control, and financial performance.
This role requires a leader who is equally passionate about hospitality and operations, with a sharp focus on accuracy, cost control, and team development.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Service Excellence Supervise daily service for lunch, dinner, and happy hour, ensuring seamless guest experiences.
Maintain Gallion’s service standards with attention to detail and hospitality-driven leadership.
Work closely with the kitchen team to feature fresh coastal cuisine and daily chef specials.
Beverage & Bar Program Oversight Manage Gallion’s bar program, featuring craft cocktails, allocated spirits, and curated wines.
Create, cost, and train staff on seasonal cocktails while upholding brand consistency.
Oversee bar presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with all state regulations.
Inventory & Cost Control (Primary Focus) Implement rigorous inventory management systems for food, wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Track and analyze usage, ordering, and variance to maintain accuracy and minimize loss.
Ensure all invoices, transfers, and receiving procedures are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain target beverage and food cost percentages through ordering, portioning, and waste reduction controls.
Collaborate with ownership to forecast purchasing needs and adjust based on seasonality and sales trends.
Leadership & Team Development Hire, train, and coach front-of-house and bar staff to meet Gallion’s standards.
Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide ongoing beverage and service education.
Foster a positive, professional, and accountable work culture.
Financial & Administrative Prepare, monitor, and analyze labor schedules, sales reports, and cost reports.
Assist with marketing-driven promotions and wine / cocktail-focused events.
Uphold compliance with health, sanitation, and alcohol service laws.
Qualifications 3–5 years of management experience in upscale dining or hospitality.
Strong background in bar management, wine / spirits knowledge, and cost control.
Proven success with inventory systems, cost analysis, and vendor relations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to drive financial performance while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.
