Senior Hospital Coder - NC Licensed

A company is looking for a Hospital Coder Senior.

Key Responsibilities

Assigns and audits ICD-10 and CPT codes for inpatient and outpatient services

Mentors and provides feedback to medical coders, assisting with complex coding issues

Conducts coding audits and ensures compliance with coding regulations and guidelines

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field, or equivalent experience

Successful completion of the inpatient and outpatient coder proficiency test

AHIMA or AAPC certification and credential required

Three years of experience in inpatient and outpatient hospital coding (or seven years with a high school diploma)

Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
