job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCompetitive starting pay rate $35.55-$42.64 Eligible for annual & skill-based wage increases Add EXTRA money to your paycheck by referring friends and family Eligible for monthly bonus based upon plant productivity Medical, Dental, Vision Prescription drug coverage 401K with a company match New Hire Wellness Bonus (see plan details) Healthcare and Dependent day care flexible spending accounts Corporate discounts Maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of automation equipment Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment in a manufacturing / production environment Perform maintenance, set-up, and PM on automation equipment in Injection Molding department Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment related processing issues On-call as needed by department and able to be flexible with schedule as needed Use standard and metric hand tools to complete tasks and duties Troubleshoot maintenance problems that occur throughout the plant with a major emphasis on electrical problems, to include AC and DC drives, PLCs, and basic motor control circuits Electrical duties : performing all major and minor electrical repairs including 480V 3-phase motor repairs / installation, motor starter circuit repairs, VFD drives, sensing devices, switches, e-stop circuitry, and group fault detection, read schematics and basic electrical symbol identification, understand electrical theory Mechanical duties : clean, lubricate, adjust equipment, diagnose and repair problems, read mechanical prints and PI&D drawings May assist with the training of other employees Adhere to safety rules and regulations; maintain a safe and efficient work area Assists maintenance and production staff as needed Other duties may be assigned as needed Understand and support a safety culture and workplace Remain aware of surroundings and obtain knowledge of required PPE Follow all safety procedures for each task Keep work area clean and organized Report any safety concern immediately to on-shift supervision Follow all GMP guidelines required by the site and for each workstation Inspect products for defects and report concerns to supervision on shift 5+ years automation technician experience in plastics industry; experience in Injection Molding preferred Mechanical, electrical, and electronic / PLC programming skills in a manufacturing environment HS Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred Ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders / platforms Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, robotics / automation Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, belts / pulleys, chains, sprockets Ability to read schematics (electrical, mechanical), P&ID diagrams, and blueprints Experience with Whittman and Krauss Maffei equipment preferred Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset Work ethic with urgency, leadership, teamwork, and initiative Professionalism, ownership, safety-minded Interpersonal and communication skills Teamwork, planning, organization, quality focus Adaptability and flexibility Attendance, punctuality, dependability Electrical : AC / DC up to 480V; reading electrical schematics; motors and drives; high speed counters; wiring diagrams; multimeters; motor control Electronic : PLCs (Allen-Bradley, GE-Fanuc); I / O cards; ladder logic; program sequencing Mechanical : power transmission, conveyors, pneumatic systems Computers : MS Office; ERP systems Mid-Senior level Full-time Management and Manufacturing Packaging and Containers Manufacturing

Automation Technician | Bedford Park, IL | HIRING IMMEDIATELY. All Automation Technicians work on a rotating schedule with every other weekend off. Shifts available : Night Shift Schedule 7 : 00pm - 7 : 00am.

Summary : Automation Technicians are the front line "reactive" responders to solve maintenance problems that occur throughout the plant requiring troubleshooting, analyzing, problem solving, and implementation of plans and solutions; duties and tasks are performed on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated production equipment to meet all operational goals and objectives.
