Medical Scheduler - Outpatient

Our client, a leading outpatient rehabilitation network, is seeking an Outpatient Scheduler to join their centralized scheduling team. This position supports patients referred for physical therapy through the worker's compensation program and ensures timely, accurate scheduling to optimize patient care and clinic operations.

The Outpatient Scheduler plays a key role in coordinating patient appointments across multiple clinics, communicating with adjusters and clinic staff, and managing referrals to meet strict scheduling timelines. This is a fast-paced, quality-driven environment where attention to detail and professionalism are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

• Schedule outpatient physical therapy appointments across assigned regions
• Manage and track incoming patient referrals within required 48-hour turnaround
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, referral sources, and clinic staff
• Document scheduling details accurately within internal systems
• Ensure all referral information and supporting documentation is complete
• Provide outstanding customer service to patients and healthcare partners
• Maintain organization and follow-up on unscheduled referrals to avoid delays
• Collaborate with the team and management to ensure efficiency and accuracy
