The A-Level Technician is responsible for advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and proactive maintenance of fleet vehicles. Working closely with fellow technicians and Operations, this role ensures vehicle reliability through accurate scheduling, field repairs, and timely change-outs—minimizing service disruptions and supporting safe, efficient transportation for staff and clients.

- $30.00 - $40.00 / Hour with a $7,500 sign-on bonus

Inspect vehicle systems regularly, including suspensions, steering, exhausts, and overall operational safety; maintain physical appearance.Repair vehicle transmission, brakes, engines, and related parts.Address fleet concerns, review driver defect reports daily, and maintain maintenance records to ensure safety and reduce road calls.Track vehicle reports, labor hours, and repairs to keep records accurate and current.Conduct field visits for emergencies or breakdowns, arrange repairs or towing.Support the IT team in managing onboard shuttle technology such as Wi-Fi, telematics, and tablets.Prepare work plans after fully diagnosing issues.Assign work orders to B and C level technicians as needed.Test drive repaired vehicles to assess performance.Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results for solutions.Maintain parts inventory and service records.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements :
Must be at least 21 years old.3+ years of vehicle maintenance experience, including transit buses and motor coaches preferred.EPA HVAC CertificationPowerTrain CertificationAdvanced knowledge of HD electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension systems.Proficient with diesel diagnostic software such as Cummins Insite, QuickServe, AllData, WABCO, Bendix.High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.Valid Motor Vehicle Record and current DOT Medical Card.Pass pre-employment DOT drug test.Proficient in English communication.Qualifications :
ASE-Medium-Heavy Truck and ASE-School Certifications.ASE School and Transit Buses Certification.Powertrain Certification.Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with Passenger endorsement; CDL training may be provided.TransWest Culture : Join our close-knit team.
