• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.\n
• Must have at least 36 months of Pediatric Acute Care Float Pool experience within the past 12 months.\n
• 3 months of experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.\n\nRequirements\n
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).\n
• This role will require floating to multiple units\n
• Local & travel allowed.\n
• 6 months between Staff at Program : Texas Children's Hospital (Direct) Program - Main\n\nPre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.\n\nAdditional Details\n\nParking Paid parking options available on site. MetroRail transportation available if preferred.\n\nNo artificial / gel / powder nails are allowed per TCH's policy.\n\nIf you were previously perm staff at TCH, you must wait 6 months before applying for a traveler position (but this timeline may vary slightly depending on the unit.)\n\nRequired Skills / Experience : Minimum 3 years inpatient pediatric nursing experience.\n\nPreferred Skills / Experience : Recent experience at a teaching facility and recent travel experience preferred.\n\nUnit Details : Provide direct inpatient nursing care in the Acute Care Float Pool covering seven Acute Care nursing units that include : Neurology / Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Surgical Orthopedic Trauma Unit General Medicine Transplant Unit Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Pulmonary Adolescent Diabetes Care Unit Pediatric Hospital Medicine Unit Overflow unit. Specialties : Peds Neuro (preferred). Peds Med-Surg (preferred). Peds Transplant (preferred). Peds Rehab (preferred).
