The Construction Field Manager oversees daily on-site construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget by coordinating workers, subcontractors, and resources, managing labor and materials, and maintaining communication between the site and management. Key duties include site visits, quality control, risk management, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight :  Supervise and direct all on-site construction activities from start to finish, ensuring work aligns with project goals.
  • Team Coordination :  Manage and direct on-site personnel, including in-house staff and subcontractors, coordinating their schedules and tasks effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance :  Monitor and enforce company safety programs and building codes to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment.
  • Quality Control :  Conduct regular site visits and job site meetings to perform quality control, identify potential issues, and ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Communication :  Act as a liaison between project management, architects, engineers, and clients, providing status updates and resolving issues.
  • Resource Management :  Select and track tools, materials, and equipment needed for the project.
  • Reporting :  Prepare and submit internal and external reports detailing job progress, status, and any challenges encountered.
  • Problem-Solving :  Proactively identify and resolve emerging problems, mitigating risks to keep the project on track.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Leadership and Management :  Strong ability to lead and motivate field teams.
  • Communication :  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
  • Technical Knowledge :  Deep understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Analytical Skills :  Ability to analyze project data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Problem-Solving :  Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges as they arise.
  • Adaptability :  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
  • Preferred :  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction

    Qualifications :   Management, Project Management, or related field.

    Requirements :

  • Experience in construction, or related field.
  • Skilled at using Buildertrend, Excel or related software.
