Employment Defense Attorney

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Employment Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in employment-related legal matters, focusing on defending against claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and other employment disputes. This role requires strong litigation skills and a comprehensive understanding of employment law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in employment law cases, including wrongful termination and discrimination claims.
  • Draft and file legal pleadings and motions related to employment disputes.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents for discovery and trial preparation.
  • Engage in motion practice and argue motions in court as necessary.
  • Advise clients on employment law issues, including wage and hour regulations.
  • Defend clients in class action lawsuits related to employment practices.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in alternative dispute resolution processes.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant state.
  • 3+ years of experience in employment law or litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, including wage and hour regulations, wrongful termination, and discrimination.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
