Maintenance Technician

As a member of Martin Marietta's Operational Excellence team, Maintenance Technicians add value every day by inspecting, repairing, maintaining, and improving the equipment used to transform sand, gravel, and crushed stone into useful building materials. Through the course of their work, our Maintenance Technicians encounter many opportunities to develop and demonstrate leadership skills as members of small teams and as individual contributors who can work independently and exercise professional judgment to drive results. They go home at the end of each day safe, knowing they made a difference by using their skills to solve a problem or drive an improvement for someone.

Essential Functions For Success :

• Demonstrate full engagement in Martin Marietta's safety culture.
• Clearly and effectively communicate with others about current or future maintenance projects.
• Demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and attention to detail.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with aggregate processing equipment including conveyors.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain aggregate processing equipment including conveyors.
• Recommend solutions for repairs or maintenance.
• Safely perform welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and other tasks normally associated with metal fabrication.
• Conscientiously complete preventative maintenance work.
• Maintain work areas and work vehicles in a safe, organized condition at all times.
• Customer-focused mindset and a can-do attitude to do whatever it takes to set our operations up for success.
