McCall Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a Directional Drill Operator / Locator in Lumberton, NC to perform directional drilling for the installation of underground conduit and fiber optic cable.

As a McCall-Thomas Directional Drill Operator / Locator, you will be joining a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Perform standard maintenance work on drill and support equipment
• Drive / operate diesel or gasoline powered equipment to / from / on jobsite (backhoe, trencher, directional bore, bucket truck)
• Locate buried wiring / cabling and install underground telecommunications cables
• Install coax and fiber systems using ditch witch or vermeer type drill
• Flagging / Safely coordinate vehicles and equipment within public areas / active work sites
• Restore worksite
• Perform general construction work using using hand tools under direction of Foreman
• Performs other duties as necessary
What Will You Need :
• HS diploma
• Valid drivers license with clean driving record
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship
• Minimum 2 years' experience in directional drilling / locating
• Ability to locate and dig around utilities to install underground conduit and fiber optic cable
• Ability to complete daily bore logs manually and electronically
• Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for the project build process
• Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits / conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies
• Positive attitude and ability to complete tasks on schedule
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships
