Overview : Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant I in the Intensive Care Unit, working full-time night shifts. This role involves providing essential patient care, observing and reporting changes in patient conditions, and maintaining a clean and well-stocked patient environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with patient admissions, including orientation to the unit and equipment.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, either directly or by notifying appropriate staff.
- Support the nursing care plan by performing delegated tasks.
- Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.
- Manage medication and supply retrieval for patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the patient care area.
- Participate in cost containment and accurate patient service charging.
- Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.
- Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.
- Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.
Education and Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.Current registration with the appropriate state nursing assistant registry.BLS certification from the American Heart Association.Experience and Skills :
No prior experience required; training provided.Strong guest relations and communication skills.Ability to read and write English effectively.Flexibility with work tasks and schedules.Basic computer skills and understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Physical Requirements :
