Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and interdisciplinary Data and Development Analyst to join our compound development team. This role bridges hands-on rubber formulation and testing with advanced data analytics, driving innovation in elastomeric materials through both experimental and computational approaches.
Key Responsibilities
Data Science & Analytics
- Analyze production and experimental data using statistical, AI, and machine learning techniques to uncover trends and predictive insights.
- Develop, maintain and improve databases of compound formulations, test results, production parameters, and incoming raw materials.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor compound performance across batches and production lines.
Laboratory & Materials Development
Design, formulate, and test rubber compounds for performance, durability, and processability.Operate and maintain lab equipment for mixing, curing, and physical property testing (e.g., rheometers, tensile testers, DMA).Collaborate with chemists and engineers to optimize compound recipes based on application requirements.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Data Science, or related field.2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in rubber or polymer manufacturing.Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred Skills
Experience with compound development workflows and lab testing equipment.Familiarity with rubber testing methods and ASTM standards is a plus.Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.Ability to translate technical data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
