SUMMARY

Without the strength of our Machine Shop Helper team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Machine Shop Helper. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Machine Shop Helper.

As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Machine Shop Helper, you will Assist manufacturing personnel as required by machining details as directed for assembly. Assist in the assembly of product and maintain documents in support of the manufacturing efforts. The machine shop helper must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality.  The machine shop helper shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The machine shop helper shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work with Supervisor and manufacturing personnel to prioritize work schedule.
  • Work with Supervisor and manufacturing personnel to establish method of manufacture.
  • Use the necessary equipment to support production requirements.
  • Notify Supervisor of required tools and or equipment needed.
  • Manufacture, machine, and assemble to work instructions and or blueprint requirements.
  • Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
  • Entry level position.
  • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, have excellent communication skills and be able to interact well with all levels of Management.
  • Must have general blueprint interpretation skills.
  • Must have some knowledge of machine set-ups, tools, tooling, cutters and assembly practices.
  • ITAR REQUIREMENTS :
