Blue Fox is partnered with a leading data center consultancy delivering mission-critical projects across the U.S. We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of a hyperscale data center in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Role

As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a key role in testing, verifying, and ensuring the functionality of critical MEP systems. Working alongside the commissioning team and project stakeholders, you'll make sure systems are integrated, documented, and ready for client handover.

Responsibilities

Execute commissioning activities across MEP and critical systems.
Carry out functional performance testing and verification.
Maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and test results.
Support issue resolution and QA / QC standards.
Work closely with contractors, vendors, and client teams.

Requirements

Experience as a Commissioning Engineer on data center or mission-critical projects.

Strong technical background in MEP systems and commissioning processes.

Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Freelance contract

$100 per hour

Based in Des Moines, Iowa

Immediate start

Base pay range : $90.00 / hr - $100.00 / hr

Compensation & Contract

$100 per hour 12 month contract
