Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Night shift position with 4x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Every other weekend required Patient ratios range from 5 : 1 to 9 : 1 depending on shift and census Patient population includes acute respiratory failure, CHF, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, and sepsis Utilizes Epic for charting Specialized equipment includes BIPAP, CPAP, high flow, ventilators, trachs, and chest tubes Floating to similar units required within scope of practice Primary duties include managing patients with complex respiratory and cardiac conditions and collaborating with PCTs and phlebotomy teams Nursing responsibilities include central and PICC line care while support staff handle routine lab draws and ADLs Scrub color required : any combination of navy and white Maximum of 1 week of requested time off allowed per contract Holiday coverage may be required per unit policy Return staff must have a 1-year separation before being eligible Floating is required within the Med / Surg Tele scope as needed Requirements Active NY RN license in hand Minimum 1 year recent Med / Surg Tele RN experience Current BLS certification required Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Experience with Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management Epic charting experience required for consideration Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility First-time US travelers must have Epic experience Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619981.
