McClure Engineering is searching for a Mechanical Engineering student to be a part of our 8 month Co-Op Program.
Solve problems of a complex nature, in both the design and construction phases of the project
Perform energy and load calculations, airflow and pressure drop calculations, equipment sizing, system design and layout
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical Drafter / Designers on the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications)
Research commercially available equipment and selecting equipment appropriate for project / client needs
Perform field inspections to verify existing site conditions
Capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Learn multiple engineering calculations to be implemented on multiple projects
Provide excellent communication to stakeholders and team members
Build relationships with industry professionals and fellow Co-Ops through networking events and company activities

Requirements :
Pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
Successfully Completed Sophomore or Junior year
Cumulative GPA at 3.3 or above
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clear documentation and effective user support
Capable of engaging in physical activities such as climbing, kneeling, crouching and lifting up to 50 lbs
The Work Environment :
Work environment is primarily indoors at firms’ facility, with approximately 10% of time spent indoors / outdoors at project or construction sites where hard-hat and other safety gear is often required. (PPE is provided by firm.)
While performing field work associated with this position employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and carry and / or climb ladders of varying heights. The employee may lift and / or move items over 50 pounds.
