IT Security Manager (Houston)

An Oil and Gas client of Insight Global is seeking an IT Security Manager to oversee daily operations and help formalize and standardize security procedures across the organization. This manager will lead a team of 3, who are responsible for providing the 24 / 7 security support to ensure the organization remains current with threat monitoring software and federal compliance regulations. They will operate within the Cisco Meraki firewall environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable collaborating with C-Suite executives and stakeholders to develop new cybersecurity practices and protocols. This remote position requires the candidate to be based in Houston or Texas, with a salary range of $140,000 to $150,000 annually.

• Oil and gas or Service Industry Experience
• Bachelor's degree (CS / IT / Business) and a recognized security certification (CISM / CISSP), demonstrating a strong foundation in security principles and best practices.
• 5 years of experience in IT Security Management including networking and systems, such as managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and network access controls to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience in IT security management, working extensively with security principles and practices, including risk assessment, threat analysis, vulnerability management, and security compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of security technologies and incident management software, such as SolarWinds and PowerSOC.
• Proficient in Microsoft technologies, with experience managing both on-premises and hybrid environments.
• Experience in developing and implementing security procedures and programs, such as protection policies, access control measures, protection protocols and incident response plans to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Experience in Cisco Meraki used for Firewalls
