Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a full-time, contract position within a K-12 educational setting located in Highland, Illinois. This opportunity spans the 2025-2026 school year and offers the chance to support a diverse student population across district-wide locations within a compact geographical area.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement for Illinois.
  • Certifications including SLP - CCC, SLP - Healthcare, SLP - Pediatrics, SLP - Teletherapy, and SLP - CFY are highly valuable.
  • Experience working within school settings and an understanding of school-based speech and language services.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 50-60 students representing a variety of speech and language disabilities.
  • Proven capability to provide onsite therapy within a school environment.

Position Details :

  • Position Type : Contract for the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Work Hours : 37.5 hours per week.
  • Caseload : Districtwide coverage with 50-60 students.
  • Student Grade Levels : K-12.
  • Location : Onsite therapy within the assigned small district area.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Deliver comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student communication goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.
