Job Description\n\nHours Per Week : 40.00\n\nHours Per Day : 8.00\n\nDays Per Week : 5.00\n\nShift Time : NIGHTS : 4Ppm - 12am / 7.5hrs / 5 Days per week\n\nSchedule Notes : Experience in recovering intubated patients' post-surgery.\n\nLocation : 3201 Kings Highway, BROOKLYN, NY 11234\n\nPosition Summary : We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will have solid experience in recovering post-operative and intubated patients, administering medicated drips, and managing critical transitions from the operating room to recovery. This role is essential to ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care during the immediate postoperative period in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgical or invasive procedures.\n
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, level of consciousness, airway, and pain management needs.\n
• Manage intubated patients and provide airway support as required.\n
• Administer IV fluids, medications, and medicated drips per physician orders.\n
• Accurately document patient assessments and interventions using EPIC EMR.\n
• Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative team members to ensure continuity of care.\n
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical expectations, pain control, and discharge instructions.\n
• Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n
• Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License – in good standing.\n
• BLS and ACLS certifications – required.\n
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, including postoperative management and medicated drip experience.\n
• Experience recovering intubated patients post-surgery – required.\n
• EPIC EMR experience – highly preferred.\n
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.\n
• Associate degree considered only if actively enrolled in a BSN program.\n\nRequired Skills\n\nBasic Qualification : \n\nAdditional Skills\n\nThe candidate must be on HonorVet's W2.
