Job Opportunity : Neonatologist in Topeka, KS

Join our dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in Topeka, Kansas! We are seeking a full-time Neonatologist to contribute to a well-established 5-physician practice. Enjoy the benefits of practicing in the Midwest capital city, known for its family-friendly environment and affordable cost of living. Job Responsibilities :

  • Full-time BC / BE Neonatologist position available.
  • Work a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, with approximately 170 hours of in-house coverage monthly.
  • Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
  • Deliver a comprehensive range of services in a Level-III, 36-bed NICU.
  • Perform high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, total body cooling, and aEEG.
  • Manage an average daily census of 26 patients with an average length of stay of 19 days.
  • Handle approximately 500 admissions annually, with pediatric subspecialty support available.
  • Participate in a NICU that has maintained The Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification in the Care of Premature Babies since 2012.
  • Open to new Fellow graduate candidates who are already Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • We are not accepting Locums candidates but are open to J1 & H1B visa candidates.

Qualifications :

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics (REQUIRED).
  • Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship working toward BC) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (REQUIRED).
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain) (REQUIRED).
  • Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) (REQUIRED).
  • Clean malpractice and license history (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
  • Visa support required for J1 or H1B candidates (REQUIRED).
  • DEA must be obtained prior to starting (REQUIRED).
  • License and Certification Requirements :

  • Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Clean malpractice and license history (preferred).
  • DEA registration (to be obtained before starting).
