NICU RN Job Details Location : Montclair, NJ 07042 (New Jersey healthcare jobs) Facility Setting : Level III / IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Night Shift Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift Schedule : 4x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Total Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570 per week Charting System : EPIC Scrubs : Blue scrubs provided Orientation : 32 hours onsite First-Time Travel Nurses : Welcome to apply NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent NICU RN experience in a Level III or IV setting Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New Jersey or compact state) BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification – required Experience with EPIC charting system preferred Proficient in arterial line management, central line care, neonatal dosage calculations, ventilator management (AC / PC / SIMV / CPAP / BIPAP / PEEP), and feeding techniques (bottle, breast, gavage) Ability to care for neonates 29-34 weeks and manage complex NICU Level III / IV cases Travel nurses only – locals within 50 miles not eligible NICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to neonates and infants in a Level III / IV NICU environment Monitor and manage ventilators, arterial and central lines, and specialized feeding tubes Implement isolation precautions and manage Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) cases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic medical records Participate in scheduled night shifts and weekend coverage as required Engage in ongoing professional development and complete required orientation modules Apply now to join our dedicated NICU nursing team in Montclair, NJ, and make a difference in neonatal healthcare!
