  • About the role

    This role is a full-time role at Christ Covenant. The Discipleship Coordinator provides administrative and ministry support to the Discipleship Pastor and Groups Pastor in carrying out the mission of spiritual formation at Christ Covenant. This role supports the church's discipleship initiatives by coordinating groups, and cohorts, ensuring that systems, communication, and events run smoothly and with excellence. This role reports to the Discipleship Pastor. Below are expectations that this position will be responsible for and accountable for during each of the performance review cycles.

    What you'll do

  • Discipleship
  • Support the Discipleship Pastor and Groups Pastor in vision casting, team leadership, and cross-departmental collaboration.

  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and calendar events for the Discipleship Pastor and related team members.
  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas and follow-up notes for discipleship staff meetings.
  • Create clear and organized documents, spreadsheets, and reports to support ministry planning and execution.
  • Groups
  • Maintain regular communication with group leaders, offering support and resources as needed.

  • Visit women's groups periodically to provide encouragement, connection, and feedback to leaders.
  • Meet with potential and current female group leaders for onboarding, encouragement, and coaching that aligns with our church's complementarian convictions
  • Manage the workflow for prospective group leaders, from application through onboarding.
  • Communicate promptly with prospective group members and assist in the group placement process.
  • Coordinate training and orientation events for group leaders and members.
  • Help plan and execute an annual Group Leader Appreciation event.
  • Assist in the creation, editing, and distribution of group training materials.
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, vendor coordination, purchases, reimbursements, and basic budgeting for Groups
  • Cohorts
  • Facilitate the organization and launch of cohort groups each year, providing ongoing support to Cohort Leaders.

  • Assist with the review and editing of new cohort content to ensure alignment with the church's mission, vision, and theological values.
  • General Administrative Tasks
  • Manage relationships and communication with staff, elders, and ministry leaders.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Experience : Prior experience in church or ministry administration, group coordination, or discipleship leadership preferred.
  • Skills : Strong organization, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
