No nights, No call, No weekends and No Inpatient!
Position Duties and Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the provision of covered services to enrolled and unassigned patients presenting for care.
- Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
- Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
- Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
- Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
- Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
- Comply with the VA formulary process and consult protocols.
Minimum Qualifications :
Provide evidence of education, training, and experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.Board Certified by the ABMS or BOS in Internal Medicine and / or Family Practice.May also be credentialed as a PCP with prescriptive authority.Minimum of one year of experience in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.Current, full, active, and unrestricted license in Oklahoma where the Outpatient Site of Care is located.Contractor staff shall complete VA mandatory training as requested and complete ACLS / BLS training and keep ACLS / BLS certifications current throughout the life of the contract. Certification refers to the successful completion of an American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN) approved BLS or ACLS course. The AHA and MTN are the only programs acceptable by VA for obtaining required certification.Must be a US Citizen.Potomac Healthcare Solutions offers the following benefits :
