Facility : This critical access hospital in Northeastern Wisconsin is part of a larger health system. The facility maintains an average daily inpatient census of 13 patients, with an annual ED volume of 13,500 visits. The adjacent Urgent Care facility, considered part of the ED, sees approximately 14,500 patients annually and is staffed with two APCs. Opportunity : Board Certified - Emergency Medicine Job Details :
- Provide emergency medicine services with 15-30 patient encounters per shift in a 10-bed department
- Work in an ED staffed with one physician and an APC on some days
- Must be comfortable and proficient with EPIC electronic health record system
- Perform all procedures associated with emergency medicine including intubations, central lines, chest tubes, FAST exams, and lumbar punctures
- Utilize central phone system for coordinating tertiary transfers when needed
- Work in a Level 4 trauma facility with 24-hour availability of various support services including anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, orthopedic surgery, and radiology
- Must maintain Wisconsin medical license or have Interstate Medical Licensure Compact eligibility
- Board certification required with ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 90 days
- Start date of January 20, 2025 with ongoing assignment potential
