Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and can increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40 / hour for repeated sessions with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. We handle logistics; you invoice for tutoring sessions and we manage payments.

High School Level American Literature Tutor — remote online tutoring on the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform. You’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive pay, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 online tutoring in High School Level American Literature.
- Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles to maximize student understanding.
- Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time and focus on teaching.
- Schedule tutoring sessions and invoice for your sessions; tutor remotely via Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform.
- Get matched with students who fit your teaching style and expertise.
