We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Music teacher to join our exciting team of educators serving students in TK through 8th grade. Our district is home to a thriving and collaborative community of arts educators who are supported by strong district leadership and an engaged parent community.

For over a decade, we’ve proudly offered a robust elementary art and music program, and with the support of Prop 28, we are now expanding our music offerings. This is a full-time teaching position with access to ongoing support, music-specific professional development, and coaching opportunities.

Twin Rivers Unified School District is seeking a passionate and skilled Elementary Music Teacher to join our team and inspire a lifelong love of music in our students!

Job Responsibilities Ignite a passion for music by developing and delivering dynamic music instruction that fosters creativity, musical literacy, and an appreciation for diverse musical styles.

Cultivate a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued and inspired to explore their musical talents.

Guide students in developing essential musical skills, including vocal performance, instrumental music (where applicable), music theory, and music appreciation.

Create lesson plans that align with district standards and bring music to life for elementary learners.

Collaborate with school staff to integrate music into the broader curriculum and enrich the school community through musical performances and events.

Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate effectively with parents about their child's musical journey.

Requirements A deep love of music and a passion for sharing it with children.

Strong knowledge of music principles, theory, practices, and teaching methodologies.

The ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment that celebrates diversity and fosters student growth.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

A commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of every student.

Qualifications Valid CA Single Subject Music Credential with English Language Learner authorization OR Multiple Subjects Credential with Supplemental Authorization in Introductory Music with English Language Learner authorization.

Valid California Teaching Credential and valid English Language Learner Authorization.

Bachelor's degree, including coursework to meet credential requirements and student teaching experience.

Salary & Benefits $63,947-$124,659 Annually + $2,000 Master's Degree Stipend, $2,000 Doctorate Stipend.

$4,500 Hiring Bonus Incentive.

186-day work year, Full-Time.
