The Quality Engineer II will t rain inspectors / Technicians concerning product quality criteria and develop / optimize inspection systems resulting from Engineering and / or Customer feedback. Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Nicholasville, KY facility.

Role Responsibilities :

Model Leadership : Exhibit and nurture those characteristics that instill in others the desire to grow and become an integral part of a vibrant team.

Work with cross function teams to launch new projects and transfer projects from intercompany sources.

Establish and optimize product and process criteria and ensure their deployment throughout our various value streams.

Lead and engage in customer complaint investigations and corrective action responses.

Work with cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement for both departmental and facility goals.

Maintain PPAP program both internally and coordinated with customer portals.

Participate in PFMEA & Control plan development and review.

Support QM to facilitate internal and external ISO audits.

Other tasks assigned from Quality Manager and upper-level managers.(QMS, quality activities, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree

4 years' working experience in Quality Management Systems.

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office systems.

Preferred Qualifications :

Must display good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to host 3rd party and customer inspections, including organizing and presenting all required documentation.

Experience in training others in QMS functions.

Willingness to develop and maintain innovative approaches to improving QMS systems.

Auditing experience

Direct experience with Welding and Metal Working processes.

Familiarity with Solidworks and Polyworks programs.

Experience with ISO9001 - ISO 14001 requirements.

Familiarity with SPPAP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA and 8D's.

Be able to travel as required
