Structural Engineer (Katy)

Responsibilities

• Design and Analysis : Perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, and institutional buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
• Calculations and Modeling : Conduct detailed calculations and use structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, RISA-3D) to model and evaluate structural systems.
• Drawing and Specification : Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Code Compliance : Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant building codes (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7), industry standards, and local regulations.
• Collaboration : Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, project managers, and contractors to integrate structural systems into overall project designs.
• Site Visits and Inspections : Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, foundation evaluation, structural inspections, and ensure compliance with design documents, and address any structural issues that may arise.
• Problem-Solving : Identify and solve complex structural problems, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Mentorship : Potentially mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Project Management : Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
