In the role of Dental Care Assistant at Tend, you will be essential in ensuring a comfortable and seamless experience for our patients in our state-of-the-art dental studios. You'll provide chairside assistance across a wide variety of procedures, adhere to sterilization and safety standards, and help maintain the rhythm of our dynamic studio environment. Your Responsibilities

  • Offer stellar chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists during various procedures.
  • Prepare and manage treatment areas, tools, and equipment while complying with OSHA and CDC infection control standards.
  • Ensure every patient feels at ease, informed, and valued throughout their experience.
  • Proactively anticipate the needs of our providers and teammates to improve studio efficiency.
  • Team up with colleagues to meet studio performance targets while upholding the highest patient care standards.
  • Engage in ongoing training to stay updated with modern technologies and current workflows.

  • What You Bring to the Table

  • All required state certifications, registrations, or licenses for dental assistants.
  • Current CPR / BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated chairside experience and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to adapt to new technologies and workflows in our modern studio environment.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Ability to work full-time (32-40 hours / week including some Saturdays) or part-time (2-3 days / week including some Saturdays).
  • Physical Requirements

    This position necessitates the ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations :

  • Sit and stand for prolonged periods while assisting with procedures.
  • Exhibit hand-eye coordination and dexterity to manage dental tools.
  • Have sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read charts, interpret radiographs, and handle clinical equipment.
  • Bend, reach, and maintain ergonomic posture during patient care.
  • Occasionally lift or move equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals both in person and via technology.
