PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Engineer is vital in delivering our high-quality products. The Manufacturing Engineer is hands on and will spend a good majority of their time in production supporting internal manufacturing customers. This position will use background and skillset to implement lean principles to eliminate waste and improve internal processes.

FOCUS
- Works with employees and managers on safety and lean manufacturing practices.
- Possesses a solid understanding of technology, equipment, processes, prints and technology.
- Creates and improves manufacturing processes that meet Grip-Tite's standards.
- Create and maintain engineering control documents.
- Provide technical support for production equipment and processes.
- Interprets and applies drawing specifications to various components and assemblies.
- Supports production in verifying employees are completing required documentation and performing within established procedures.
- Will require hands on machine work at times and work with fixturing and other tooling to ensure production needs are addressed.
- Provides input and may research new machinery and equipment that meets business needs.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years of experience in Design, Manufacturing, or Process EngineeringPrevious 3D modeling experience (previous experience with SolidWorks a plus)Process control and automation designPossess a strong mechanical aptitudeExperience with ERP Systems (Acumatica a plus)Experience in steel fabrication processes (laser cutting, stamping, CNC sawing, robotic welding etc.)Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)Excellent planning and communication skillsHigh level of professionalismAbility to prioritize and multi-taskPositive attitudeHighly organizedAbility to communicate difficult conceptsForging experience a plusDirect hands-on experience with industrial equipment a plusMust be able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.EDUCATION
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required.
