Job Details - Des Moines Cath Lab RN Travel Assignment

Location : Des Moines, Iowa (50309) - Iowa nursing jobs
Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)
Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 13 / 2025, End : 1 / 12 / 2026)
Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM (10-hour days)
Hours per Week : 40
Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2,680 - $2,870
On Call : Every 3rd night & every 3rd weekend (Friday 7pm - Monday 7am)
Floating : Required across all Des Moines campuses to similar cardiac units

Cath Lab RN Qualifications

Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)

Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience

Structural heart and electrophysiology (EP) experience preferred

Previous travel nursing experience required

Proficient in scrubbing for cardiac catheterization procedures

Willingness to take call and float between Des Moines healthcare campuses

Submission of work history / resume, recent skills checklist, license verification, and certifications required

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and related interventional procedures

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes

Scrub in and assist with cardiac and EP procedures as needed

Participate in on-call rotation, providing clinical support during nights and weekends

Float to similar cardiac units across Des Moines campuses as required

Accurately document patient care and procedures in EPIC EMR
