About The Position

Proficiency in Telemetry needed

Description :

Schedule requirements include night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM.

Weekends as needed, likely every other weekend.

Holiday rotation; will work 2 of 3 major holidays, and no time off is approved between Christmas and New Year.

Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.

If they pass the clinical screening, they will be sent to management for the final decision.

Clinical screens will be conducted on a case-by-case basis.

Manager will conduct interviews with qualified candidates.

This unit is an observation unit with a focus on rapid testing and discharge of patients within 24 hours.

Patient types include congestive heart failure, stroke, TIA, COPD, chest pain, and more.

Staff may float to all Med-Surg floors as needed.

During times of surge capacity in the facility, beds may be used for inpatient care.

Staff are trained to care for both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Tobacco and fragrance-free facility; candidates should be notified prior to submission.

Could be responsible for caring for COVID patients.

Patient care will involve chronic and acute conditions including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illnesses, arrhythmias, general surgery, and end-of-life care.

All Registered Nurses on this unit are required to be Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certified.

The patient ratio is 5 : 1 for nights and weekends.

Floating is required as needed to various units within the facility.

Special procedures and care include cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and management of intravenous medication drips.

Candidates should have experience with high-acuity patients and proficiency in specific nursing skills.
