Infant / Toddler Home Visitor

Flowers Early Learning is a high-quality preschool located in Millburg (Benton Harbor Twp.), Michigan and is currently looking for an Infant / Toddler Home visitor, serving home based classrooms with children ages 0-3.

Position Summary : Coach and partner with families about parenting, health, nutrition, and child development through weekly home visits so families become more effective educators of their children. Plans and implements curriculum, on-going observation, assessment and child outcomes systems consistent with program policies, developmentally appropriate practice, and the Head Start Performance Standards.

Job Type :   Full-time, Year Round, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Expected Schedule : Monday- Friday, 8a-4 : 30p, 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary due to daily schedule.

Rate of Pay :    AA : $18.40 BA or Higher : $20.94

Education Requirement :   Minimum – Associates Degree with emphasis on early childhood education or Family Services Credential. Must obtain a Family Service Credential within 30 days of hire, if not current. Desired - Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on early childhood education. Must obtain a Family Service Credential within 30 days of hire, if not current.

Qualifications :   Must have competency in verbal and written communication skills. Must have a personal driving record with not more than 6 active points as determined by the Secretary of State.

Other Selection Criteria : All candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and their own reliable transportation, complete a physical examination, comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check, and pre-employment drug screen including a negative result for Amphetamines, Cannabinoids (including Marijuana / THC), Cocaine, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP). Marijuana is not legal at the federal level and is prohibited in the workplace or in one's system, even if legally prescribed.
