Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Pittsfield, Massachusetts (01201) – Berkshires region Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical Unit (20–34 beds) Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : October 27, 2025 End Date : January 26, 2026 Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1930 - $2070 Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 typical Dress Code : Personal scrubs (any color) Weekend / Holiday Coverage : Every other weekend and two major holidays required Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Massachusetts RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Tele experience required; Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly preferred Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required Willingness to float to any Med / Surg unit as needed Must have own vehicle for transportation COVID-19 vaccination (dose date on or after 10 / 3 / 23) or approved exemption (mask required) Permanent address must be included in application; candidates within 50 miles of facility not eligible Work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), and one supervisory signed reference (from past 2 years) required Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a dynamic hospital environment Monitor, assess, and document patient status and clinical progress Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Float to other Med / Surg units as assigned Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing education Offer compassionate support to patients and their families Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
