About the Role :

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), our Assist Living Facility in Fairfield you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, your responsibility will be to monitoring resident's health, administering medications, and assisting and support patients in their daily activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your expertise will contribute to the overall care of residents, helping them to recover and maintain their health in a compassionate environment. Addition responsible for documenting residents progress and communicating effectively with the healthcare team. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing the quality of life for the patients you serve.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Valid nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of CT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience in patient care, particularly in assisted living or similar settings.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in IV therapy or wound care.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct patient assessments and document vital signs and health status.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare team members regarding health conditions and care plans.
  • Skills :

    The required skills for this role includes strong clinical judgment and the ability to perform nursing tasks with precision and care. You will utilize your communication skills daily to interact with residents and their families, ensuring they are understanding their care plans and feel supported. Attention to detail is essential as you will be responsible for accurately documenting resident information and monitoring vital signs. Preferred skills, such as IV therapy certification, will enhance your ability to provide comprehensive care improve patient outcome.
