Work Schedule : Dialysis RNs are scheduled in an on-call status, with the following expectations :

• On-Call Hours
• Monday - Saturday : 4 : 00 PM to 8 : 00 AM (next day)
• Sunday : 8 : 00 AM to 8 : 00 AM (Monday)
• Holidays (24 hours) : New Years Eve / Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve / Day

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute provides professional hemodialysis nursing care to hospitalized patients under the hospitals license. The Dialysis RN works independently and must demonstrate the ability to perform all dialysis procedures, including being available for on-call dialysis coverage.

This role requires clinical proficiency, collaboration with hospital staff, and a commitment to patient-centered care. The RN will be responsible for initiating, monitoring, and discontinuing dialysis treatments, and will document all relevant care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
