About The Position

Job Title : Electrophysiology Tech

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 10 hours (06 : 30 - 17 : 00)

Experience : Minimum 2 years required. First-timers accepted.

License : Must have state license in hand at submission.

Certifications : BLS required, ACLS and ARRT R preferred.

Must-Have :

Candidates must be able to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

Candidates must work every other weekend.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Description :

The Electrophysiology Technician will be responsible for tasks related to electrophysiology procedures.

Candidates must have experience with accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, and baseline measurements.

The role includes tasks such as cardiac ablation, conduction studies, and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations.

Candidates should be familiar with equipment setup and hemodynamic monitoring.

Insertion and programming of AICDs and pacemakers, as well as EKG lead placement, are required.

Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias and maintenance of a sterile field during procedures are essential functions.

Familiarity with patient diagnoses such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and supraventricular tachycardia will be beneficial.

Special procedures performed may include lead extractions and Watchman device procedures.

Experience with specific equipment like biosense mapping and Siemens and Phillips ICE is preferred.

Candidates are expected to interact with interdisciplinary support teams.
