    Job Summary

    The Lab Tech 1 in case assembly performs routine lab duties using established protocols and procedures under supervision.  Specific duties vary by assigned area and are outlined in the essential functions of the role section below.

    Essential Functions of the Role

  • QC, deliver and assign all cases to pathologists as they come off HE600 stainer.
  • Sorts cases for digital pathology scanning or for send out via courier system.
  • Clean and scan all slides on the Philips Ultra Fast Scanners prioritizing cases as necessary.
  • Promptly files all slides and blocks in the Dream Path System.
  • Trouble shoot and maintain HE6600, Philips Digital Scanners and Dream Path Filing system and call in for service as necessary.
  • Answer all teams messages and emails promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies.
  • Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines and external customers.
  • Participates in laboratory projects and educational activities.

  • EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma / GED Equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
