Kleinfelder's Construction Services team provides construction management and observation / inspection services, laboratory testing, materials, and forensic engineering. We support infrastructure development and maintenance with a network of accredited laboratories and a growing backlog of work. We are seeking a Special Inspector to join our Northern California team to contribute to construction inspection and materials testing projects for local and national clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to plans and specifications.
• Perform routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and concrete compressive strength tests.
• Interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects and prepare daily reports and data sheets.
• Support project goals by performing various tasks as needed to meet client requirements.

Requirements

Must be able to use a computer and have general knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. Must be willing to travel throughout Northern California.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

The salary range for this position is $30.39 - $50.72 per hour, with final compensation based on qualifications and experience, as required by California Pay Transparency Law.
