Healthcare Attorney

Position Overview : The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience practicing litigation and / or civil litigation, with familiarity with the Indiana Medical Malpractice Act strongly preferred. This attorney will handle a variety of healthcare-related matters, including litigation, compliance, and professional liability, while working in a supportive, collegial environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage aspects of complex healthcare and civil litigation matters with appropriate supervision.

Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.

Handle court appearances, depositions, and client meetings throughout Indiana (some travel required).

Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and appellate briefs.

Maintain and enhance client relationships through excellent communication and service.

Assist with firm growth initiatives through presentations, research, and business development efforts.

Stay up to date on state and federal healthcare regulations and trends.

Demonstrate sound judgment, leadership, and collaboration within the firm.

Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Admission to the state bar and in good standing (Indiana preferred).

Minimum of 4 years of litigation and / or civil litigation experience.

Experience under the Indiana Medical Malpractice Act is preferred.

Exceptional writing, drafting, and analytical skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with e-discovery tools.

Willingness to travel as needed throughout Indiana.
