EHS Family Support / Eligibility Specialist

We are looking for a Family Support / Eligibility Specialist to work with program staff to support recruitment of children and families, provide services to families, and support the engagement of families in the EHS / HS activities, events, and socializations.
Wage range varies based on experience and education : $18.58 - 21.70
Essential Duties
- Collaborate with EES Leadership staff to plan family engagement and parent involvement activities.
- Collaborate with CDE / Home Visitors in planning and co-leading groups socialization and playgroups.
- Assist in implementing family and community surveys.
- Provide support for events as needed, including playgroups, parent meetings, parent trainings, field trips, Policy Council, and other agency or community events.
- Work with the EHS Home Visitors to contact and remind parents of events, arrange for transportation needs, etc., and provide transportation for families as needed.
- Assist in recruitment, support, and mentoring parents in providing representation on the Policy Council.
- Complete reports, including monthly reports, reflecting service provided and assist with attendance and waitlist review.
- Engage in data analysis and review as appropriate.
- Coordinate with local agency programs and staff to support family needs.
- Facilitate general program communication with parents and the community by keeping the EHS Facebook Page current and publishing a regular Early Ed Newsletter.
- Participate in the recruitment of families through community outreach, connecting with agencies, producing and distributing flyers and referral forms, putting up posters, and participating in community events, committee meetings, etc.
- Provide follow-up with referrals received from agencies via mail, fax, or telephone, including the completion of eligibility determination and documentation for enrollment as directed by supervisor.
- Collaborate as needed with staff for families enrolled in both Head Start and Early Head Start.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree in Human Services, Child Development, or related field, Head Start Family Services Credential or equivalent coursework, preferred.
