Preschool Early Childhood Education Teacher

This position provides and implements a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom experience for children enrolled in ECEAP and Head Start programs. Scheduled to work 40 hours per week with a school year schedule. General schedule is Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM with occasional after-hours events.

The starting wage and maximum budgeted wage for this position is $21.94-22.93 per hour .

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education : Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or, an unrelated field with 30 quarter / 20 semester credits in ECE related courses.

Preferred Education / Experience : Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or, a closely related field with 30 quarter / 20 semester credits in ECE related courses. One year of paid or formal volunteer / internship experience with groups of children 3 to 5 years of age in an early childhood setting.

• Training plan may be considered depending on qualifications.
• Bi-lingual highly desired.

Knowledge of :

1. Principles of child development and Early Childhood Curriculum planning.

2. Principles of effective supervision.

3. Current best practices in early childhood development and education.
